The Shenandoah Medical Center’s Radiology Department offers a talented team of medical experts and a wide array of imaging technologies to diagnose and treat disease. An exceptional team of licensed radiologists, board-certified imaging technologists have access to some of the most advanced imaging equipment available anywhere. The radiologists on our team are imaging, interventional, musculoskeletal and nuclear medicine leaders in the region. They perform Pain Management and Vertebroplasties in the operating room and biopsies, Arthrograms, PICC lines and Para/Thoracentesis exams in the department. Our hospital also serves as a training site for Nebraska Methodist College and Clarkson College radiology students.

In addition to our unyielding commitment to excellent patient care, we also offer high-tech equipment. All of our imaging equipment is digital, including our unique to the region, state of the art, on site ‘Dual Head Nuclear/Spect Camera that is ultra fast in performing all imaging exams from Heart studies to Thyroid ablations, you can rest assured that you have the latest technology. The ultrasound system has specialized software to differentiate breast calcifications and lesions to find breast cancers at their earliest most treatable stage. 3D and 4D imaging for all applications include fetal imaging for OB patients. This is the most accurate imaging available today.

Our leading-edge: 128 slice CT with 3D/4D technology and .25mm imaging capabilities rivals anything the city can offer. We also offer Digital mammography, 1.5 magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography, PET CT scans, stereotactic biopsies, thyroid ablation, fluoroscopy, OR motion x-rays, surgical fluoroscopy, dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry, or DEXA, digital radiology, and simulation for radiology therapy. The images from all of these technologies can be transmitted anywhere in the world within minutes with our advanced picture archiving and communication system (PACS) which also is the first vendor to provide ‘total dose calculations’ for CT patients.
