Dialysis and Kidney Care

At the Shenandoah Medical Center, nephrologists have regularly scheduled outpatient clinics and see patients in the DaVita Dialysis Center. A nephrologist generally sees patients who are referred by their primary care physicians or general physicians for problems related to the kidneys, high blood pressure or certain types of metabolic disorders.

The Dialysis Center as the Shenandoah Medical Center is owned and operated by DaVita, Inc., the country’s largest independent provider of dialysis services and the leading provider of kidney care in the United States.

If you are diagnosed with chronic kidney disease (CKD) requiring dialysis services, our 12-chair outpatient hemodialysis facility provides access to top-quality, skilled and compassionate kidney care. You care team will include the nephrologist, nurses, patient care technicians, dietitians and social workers. If you are interested in other dialysis treatment options we are able to refer you to the appropriate center.

Monthly Kidney Smart classes are help for anyone interested in attending. To register go to KidneySmart.org/Class or call (888) MYKIDNEY.
