Jessica Heitkamp, ARNP
I am a nurse practitioner that specializes in family practice. I worked as a CNA, LPN, and RN prior to obtaining my master’s degree. I have a back ground as a nurse working in the long term and skilled care as well as working at Creighton University Medical Center as a resource nurse. As a resource nurse I was assigned to many different units including: Intensive Care, Cardiac Critical Care, Post Intensive Care, Medical /Surgical floor, Orthopedics, Neurology and Trauma patients. I ended my nursing career working in the post anesthesia care unit at Creighton University Medical Center. I graduated in 2017 from Clarkson College with my Master’s in Nursing specializing in the Family Practice Nurse Practitioner role. I have always lived in the rural setting in Iowa and knew I wanted to serve the rural Iowa community as a Nurse Practitioner. I joined the Shenandoah Medical Center family in 2018 as the Walk-In Clinic provider, and am now providing primary care at the Tabor Clinic. I have really enjoyed my time in Shenandoah and enjoy taking care of acutely ill patients and assisting them on their road to recovery the best way I can by providing evidenced based care.
