
New Provider Starts in SMC Sidney Clinic
Shenandoah Medical Center is pleased to welcome a new family practice provider to their healthcare team. Krista Wilson, ARNP, has joined Shenandoah Medical Center’s clinic in Sidney to serve the healthcare needs of residents in Southwest Iowa.
Krista was born and raised in Iowa and has lived in Fremont County for the past 17 years. Krista obtained her nursing degree in 1992, at Mercy College of Health Science in Des Moines Iowa. She later went on to obtain her Bachelors of Science of Nursing in the summer of 2000, from the University of Iowa. Lastly, in August 2002 she obtained her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University Of Iowa College Of Nursing in Iowa City. Krista currently has over 7 years of family practice experience in a rural clinic setting, 7 years of emergency medicine experience, and was an internal medicine Hospitalist for 2 years.
When speaking about her specific practice, Krista mentioned, “I am very excited to work in the Sidney Clinic and work in this community as Sidney is a really great place to live! I absolutely love caring for all ages and family practice allows me to do that. My years of experience with chronic disease, especially diabetes, should be very helpful.”
Krista and her family love the Sidney Cowboys/Cowgirls, horseback riding, outdoor camping, walleye fishing, and enjoy traveling to new places.
