Nurse Practitioner

Desiree Haggart is an advanced practice nurse with a combined 18 years of nursing experience. She obtained her ADN Nursing degree from Lower Columbia in Longview, WA. She then went on to Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA where she obtained a double masters degree in Health Systems Leadership and Family Nurse Practitioner. Prior to arriving to Shenandoah Medical Center, Ms. Haggart spend her nursing career at the Portland VA Medical Center in Portland, OR. It was here that Ms. Haggart's nursing career included Medical Surgical, ICU and OR nursing experience. She also held multiple positions within leadership roles including Quality Care Consultant and Patient Safety Manager serving under the hospitals Executive Staff. Ms. Haggart has served on as many as 15 committees to help with optimal patient outcomes for both patient safety and organizational improvements. Ms. Haggart is a nurse advocate for her patients and always strives to provide quality, evidence based exceptional individualized care. Ms. Haggart currently is a provider in the Emergency Department at Shenandoah Medical Center. Ms. Haggart's combined experience and knowledge helps to care for patients with complex medical needs so that they may get the care needed. In her spare time, Ms. Haggart enjoys spending time with family, friends and her two pups. She enjoys traveling, biking, hiking, paddle boarding, CrossFit and Yoga.
